- Why and how does hedonism develop in Malaysia?
Malaysia cannot escape from one of the country and nation that faces hedonism culture. It was developed and becomes more serious and need prevention and attention from all the parts of the society such as family institutions, teachers, non governmental organizations and the most important is goverment itself.
We should answered question 'why hedonism develop in Malaysia?' by looking at what group of the people that count up as the contributors for this problem. For information, most of them are teenagers. So, where should they be if they are not in this type of problem. Two main places for teenagers at their age are school or universities. If not, they must be apart of the labour for the human capital because our country is in the process to achive developed country level at least in year 2020. Then, by anwering which part of our society has failed to educate them, we can also answering the question 'why hedonism develop in Malaysia?'.
Firstly, family institution is the core subject for us to point up as the responsible institution for hedonism problem. Logically, teenagers have their own family so then their family is the closest people to educate their children with good values and ethics. Parents should educate their children to have their own destiny in life. Teeangers that feel themselves priceless will influenced by their friends such as drug addicts and illegal racing because they get happiness from such activities.
Secondly, schools as the formal education centre is the institution that can be said as the factor for why hedonism develop in Malaysia. Our curriculum such as Integrated Curriculum for Primary School and Secondary School need a reformation to make our students more competitive and attractive. Our education system is mostly based on the exam oriented system so this type of system create a tension to student. Teeangers that has no choice in their life as a student will seek for an entertainment to enjoy their life. This leads to hedonism.
Thirdly, our government and bodies under goverment's administration has no specific and integrated vision and mision in developing our Malaysian teenagers. The education system has made so exam oriented because the qualification for our students to enter universities. Then, some of the plural society get moral and financial support from governmental organization in developing entertainment and this attract our teenagers to get involved in hedonism.
So, these are the factors and explanations on how hedonism develop in Malaysia. It does not has single factor but the factors are so decentralized and it make hedonism more complex to understand.

nowadays,student are based on exam oriented not for gain knowledge as much as they can..they strunggle hard and put theirself in tense condition.as a result,to release their tense,they are tend to having funs..and that why hedonisme nowadays spread in malaysia..because students prefer more funs then study..just my opinion :)
As what you have said, our country is now developing country and yet to be developed country. And the theory is that parents do not have enough time to spend with their children. They are busy with their work twentyfour-seven. They will just give money away to their children for them spend on and be hedonistic in order to replace the parents. The thing is, parents whose the one who shaped, draw how the children should or suppose to behave.
